Blackbraes National Park

Location
Blackbraes National Park is accessed via two possible routes. From Townsville follow the Flinders Highway 380km west to Hughenden. At Hughenden, turn on to the Kennedy Developmental Road and travel north for 170km. Alternatively, from Townsville travel the Flinders Highway 135 km west to Charters Towers. At Charter Towers turn on to the Gregory Developmental Road and travel north for 262km to the Lynd Junction. Then travel south for 90km.

There are no tracks in Blackbraes National Park, as it is remote and undeveloped. Visitors can walk along the park service roads and firebreaks. Walkers must be well prepared and responsible for their own safety.
